Mountains and Valleys

Breath-taking panoramas only two steps from the city. This is the main characteristic of the mountains around Bergamo: from rolling hills close to the city to the 2,000 meters of the tormented crest of Alben, to the imposing splendor of the Arera range at 2,500 meters; above that, Valcanale and its fir lined gorge disseminated with ancient villages where visitors can breathe genuine alpine air at its best. And then, the towering peaks of Pizzo dei tre Signori, Corno Stella, Pizzo del Becco on one side and on the other, the great “three thousand”: Pizzo di Coca, Redorta, Scais, with their tracks, lakes and paths through meadows, screed and rocks evoking emotions hard to describe.
Ski-lifts, Alpine ski-run, Nordic skiing tracks, snowboard, ice –skating, and much more is offered by the Bergamo mountains in their winter version.

The SPA town of San Pellegrino

Only 24 kilometers from Bergamo, San Pellegrino Terme, already renowned in ancient times for the therapeutic properties of its springs , since the early 19th century has become one of the most famous spa towns in Lombardy.
With completely renewed structures, the spas offer modern cures based on the most recent scientific and technological criteria with centers specialized in diagnosis and avant-garde clinics. Cures practiced at the Springs, situated in an environment where visitors can admire fantastic medieval fortifications, can be combined with a number of sports and leisure activities.
