Lions Bergamo American Footbal Team

 

Lions Bergamo were born in 1983 by a group of enthusiasts and achieved Serie A already during the following year. After a period of growth in the field, the team start remained always in the top positions in the league,they reach their first league title in 1993.

But it is in 1998 that Lions kicked off a series of victories that would take them to get the title of Champion of Italy for ten consecutive years and would allow them to establish the European record of games won consecutively in a national championship. Between 1998 and 2006, they played 73 matches, a record that still has to be broken by any European team.
After winning the championship LeNAF / A2 in 2011, the team got back in 2012 to be part of the greatest Italian tournament, the IFL / A1.
In 2013 season the Bergamo company decided to take part in the championship LeNAF / A2 reaching the final, then lost to the Grizzlies Rome, in 2014 they return again in IFL.
